I started my yoga journey after my second child, as a way to give myself some “me time”. Since starting yoga I have grown as a person, mother, friend, daughter and wife. I decided I wanted to take the Teacher Training for Kids Yoga, this way I could empower children, from an early age, to be in touch with their bodies, creativity and emotions. I wanted to use this training to give back to my community, have fun with my own children, and create possibility for others. I love teaching the Kids Class, it brings me such joy to listen and learn from these unfiltered children’s thoughts and ideas.Teaching Kids then led me to enrol in the 200 RYT. I wanted to deepen my own practice and learn the history and philosophy of Yoga. I love reading the yoga books and continuing my learning with all aspects of yoga, from nutrition to the Sutras. I enjoy teaching and when I am not teaching I love assisting other teacher’s classes. It’s a wonderful gift to be able to give back to the community and continue my education.I love Yin and Restorative Yoga – this brings me peace and stillness which I don’t always manage to create in everyday experiences. This hour on my mat either teaching or practicing brings me clarity and calmness whilst empowering myself and others to take on the juggling of emotions and obstacles daily life brings.
Outside the studio you can catch me listening to music and creating fun with my children and family.
