How Has Hot Yoga Benefited YOU?

Hot hatha yoga classes at Art Montage yoga have improved my mood, corrected my posture, toned my body, and dramatically reduced my chronic lower back pain. The overall health benefits have me absolutely hooked on hot yoga!

I hope that my statement is helpful – It’s true! 🙂
Practicing Hot Yoga has helped me gain flexibility, strength and confidence. The benefits of the heated room include detoxing by ‘sweating up a storm’, learning how to breath correctly and moving easily as we practice. I injured my neck and shoulder last summer and found that yoga has helped me gain strength in those muscles. I appreciate that the instructors pay close attention to safety and encourage us to listen to our bodies. Every student is encouraged to do their best during each practice and learn the proper techniques for each pose. I encourage my friends and family to learn about the benefits yoga and incorporate it into their life.

I think hot yoga is easier than traditional yoga.  Adding hot yoga has helped me intensify my practice.  I find that the warm room loosens my muscles quickly so I can go deeper into exercise with less warm-up time.  This way I can do yoga longer before becoming fatigued.  I’ve also noticed that the mental and physical releases feel deeper as my practice progresses. I prefer to practice every day because I so enjoy feeling relaxed and detoxified when the practice ends.

I just started attending art montage and I just love it! I have done hot yoga in the past, but i just love the variety of classes and postures Art Montage has to offer. I have had the opportunity to attend each type of class now and I’m just not sure I can pick a favorite. Each style has its own great benefits! I have been going about five times a week and it has been great for body and mind. I can tell my body is opening up and I’m building more strength and tone, especially in my arms (which were pretty weak) my body is craving the stretches when I don’t attend. The best part is you always leave the class feeling great, it truly makes the rest of your day better. I love the positivity I feel!

I have gained essential spiritual training from Hot Yoga which has helped me live a life more peaceful and intentional. I have practiced creating space for myself on my mat, and I have learned to take that practice off the mat as well, to create space in my cluttered schedule and crowded world for some peaceful meditation. Hot yoga has taught me- most clearly in moments of frustration- that no matter where I am in my practice that day, I can accept myself without judgement.

Thanks for sharing this Stephanie. Gaining inner peace is not easy but once you find it everything fall into place.

I started at the studio a little over a month ago. I immediately saw a huge difference: I’m sleeping better, I have more energy, I sweat (detox) more easily and I saw more muscle tone practically overnight. The flexibility in the joints that have always given me issues has improved dramatically, also. More importantly, I have a great time, which is why I keep coming back. It’s like a massage, a work out and a visit to the sauna all wrapped up in one.

Hot yoga has helped me on many levels. Physically, the heat allows the body to warm and soften the muscles to allow a more productive posture for the muscles. Since it is a more productive practice for me, my body is visibly showing results in the way it looks and the progress of my poses. Mentally, I am a more confident person because of these physical aspects. Additionally, I build my mental discipline in the heat because of distractions (sweat). I am glad I found such a wonderful studio to grow in these ways.

I enjoy sweating and detoxing so hot hatha is perfect for me.I very much enjoy the mind set and physical challenge of Yoga. What I most enjoy is emphasis on relaxation, breathing and the fact that there is no judegment during the practice. I leave in a very peaceful state and it is helping me to stay in a relaxed state in my world.
I respect the dedication and structure that Annette provides. It is so clear to me that she is passionate about Yoga and passing it on to others.
